I used to fantasize that I was a creative, adventurous and . . . OK, I’ll say it . . . fabulous cook.
Then, I had children.
And with my slob-problems meaning that the home was generally a wreck, “adventurous” flew right out the window. But even while struggling with housekeeping issues, I’ve always been passionate about feeding my family home-cooked meals. They’re no longer as creative as they used to be, and I stick to a smaller repertoire, but they work.
Most of the recipes you will find here could be called “survival” meals.
They may not be fancy. But they’re realistic.
