How to Make a Girl’s Pilgrim Hat – An Easy Thanksgiving Craft

My daughter came home from kindergarten wearing this adorable Pilgrim hat last Friday.

(That’s not my daughter.)

Precious, and unbelievably simple to make.

Here’s how. (I’m using purple paper because that’s what I have. I’m sure there were little girls in Plymouth who secretly wished they could have had a purple hat, don’t you?)

Supplies:

11 x 17 white paper.

Stapler

Scissors

Yarn

Cut into the paper about four inches in two places, at 1/3 intervals along one of the 17 inch sides.

Fold one inch of the other 17 inch side back.

Bring the two outer sections together and staple.

Pull down the center cut section, and staple.

Punch holes at the chin on each side, and use yarn to tie it on.

And . . . that’s it! Seriously, this is so cute on, and so quick to make.
