Pre-Meditated Scatter-Brained-Ness

(Me in my new workout shoes)

I thought it.

Really, I did.

As I was taking the framed photos off of the wall, I thought, “Here we go again, and I should get these right back on the wall when we’re done.”

And then I thought, “But I won’t.”

I know.  I usually claim slob-vision or scatter-brained-ness.

This might be pre-meditated slob-vision.  Or premonitions of scatter-brained-ness.

I’ve been having a blast writing for AllYou.com’s What’s in Store? series.  I get to shop for a bargain, pose for pictures, and write a fun post.  And get paid.

Seriously an awesome gig.

Anyway, the pictures are supposed to be taken inside my home.   As a slob, I’m acutely aware of what’s around me when a flash goes off.

My chosen photo spot in our house is in the dining room, in front of the blue wall.  For each of the last three months, I have removed the pictures from that wall and placed them on the table.

The dining room table which isn’t supposed to have ANYthing on it.  (But totally does.)

Instead of waiting for more piles to form and the current baby-piles to grow up so I could make a big project out of clearing the table, I decided to at least hang the pictures back up.

At least.

And that, my friends, is the detail for today.  Four days after the All You photo was taken . . . not all that bad.

Hmmm, what can I link to on Amazon today so you’ll head over there and remember to order the things you’ve been meaning to buy that you totally need???  How about frames, or cameras, or tennis shoes?  Yes, those are all good affiliate links.

I am so disappointed in this post!

You are not Nony! You have a real name! I did not want to find that out.
I loved you and felt a kindred spirit with Nony. But, I do not know this Dana woman!

jk (kind of jk, kind of for real)

Oh Joan, I’m sorry!!! When I started the blog, I was paranoid that someone I knew would find out about it and using my real name to write about my deepest darkest shameful secret wasn’t even an option. Nony is short for aNONYmous. I have linked to things with my real name before, but it has taken me a loooonnnngggg time to be okay with sharing my real identity. I didn’t even show a picture of me at all for almost a year.

That’s so funny Joan. Even though I see that Nony is not Nony she is still Nony in my head. In my imagination all the people that she knows in real life call her Nony.

Well, I have to say, after seeing that picture I now feel the need to dust off my weights & get moving(well after I dust them off) Great job of hanging the pictures up(I still have pictures that need to be hung(it’s only been 5 yrs,is that bad???)

I just recently solved the dinning room table (only being used for a dumping ground) issue. I gave it away-the whole dinning room set! We have an eat in kitchen,we NEVER used the dinning room, the table was ALWAYS a clutter catcher & I got tired of dusting things I never use.
I thought I might miss it,but no,I really don’t. I am glad to see it go to some one who really wanted it & will use it. I have converted the old dinning room into a small office/den,which will get more use.

Nony, you have really done so well with this details series. I have been so inspired by your posts. I have been trying to think of things as ‘details’ to help me just-get-it-done-already! I have been applying this not only to my house cleaning, but also to my job and my car.
Just a few of the things YOU have helped me accomplish:
    1. I sent an email to order a necessary work item at 5 minutes til 5, instead of putting it off until the next morning (when it would have been forgotten).
    2. While sitting in my car at lunch to enjoy the nice weather, I gathered up and threw away the trash in my car.
    3. I wanted to RELAX at 8:40 Monday night when I got Tot to bed, but I told myself that I would do as many things as I could get done in 20 minutes, then relax before bed. I cleaned the kitchen, put clean sheets on my bed and folded and put away the last load of laundry from Sunday’s laundry day.
    4. I picked out mine and Tot’s clothes in the evening to save a little time in the morning since MH was out of town – and I ended up being 8 minutes early to work!!

Seriously, thanks. I tend to be a scatterbrain too, so focusing on ‘details’ helps get things done.

Go you! That 20 minutes makes such a difference, it’s amazing.
