Let’s Talk Decluttering – Hangout – Kids’ Rooms

I thoroughly enjoyed today’s hangout! It felt more interactive since I could more easily see the questions and comments. I did miss some, though, but I’ve copied/pasted them into a document so maybe we’ll do one last hangout after January where I can catch up on them.

Thanks to those who were there!

Next week’s hangout will be on decluttering kitchens (which I’m way better at than kids’ rooms!) so go here to rsvp to that!

Here is the recorded hangout. (If you can’t see it you can watch on youtube here.)

I’ve tried to change the frozen screenshot, but it won’t change!! (SOOO scary!)

Cleaning the Bathtub (Another Caused-By-a-Messy-Closet-Floor Project)

January 15, 2014 By Dana White 11 Comments

377shares 265 1 111Because I cleared the floor of my closet, I also cleaned my bathtub. Huh? The two don’t seem related, but unfortunately they are. Bathroom Cleaning Day had been inhibited by the fact that I couldn’t get to my bathtub easily. Chairs in front of the bathtub were piled with clothes because I […]

Putting It to Good Use

January 14, 2014 By Dana White 33 Comments

559shares 557 0 2 There is a certain blanket that I tried to declutter many, many times. I called it my Bambi Blanket. I loved that blanket. It was always fluffy and cool and was the best for creating a warm cocoon on winter nights as a child. I didn’t take it to college, but […]

I Am Resourceful. Why Yes. I Am.

January 13, 2014 By Dana White 12 Comments

115shares 113 0 2 I’m a problem solver. Often, though, I’m solving problems created by me. Blergh. While decluttering my closet last week, I ran across an example of my resourcefulness. A familiar example. I’ve had many versions of this handy-dandy homemade tool over the years. It’s a hook. A hook made out of a […]

Adding Square Footage to My Bathroom By Decluttering

January 10, 2014 By Dana White 44 Comments

1.4Kshares 1.2K 0 198 I added some square footage to my home this week. I get so used to shifting my hips this way or that to get by a HUGE SUITCASE that has been sitting in the middle of the bathroom for months . . . that I don’t even realize it’s there. It […]

One In. One Out. (Breathe In. Breathe Out.)

January 9, 2014 By Dana White 55 Comments

1.4Kshares 1.4K 1 63 Sometimes it’s embarrassing that I have to talk myself through basic decluttering/anti-clutter strategies on such simple things. I’m pretty sure there are people who don’t even know that One In One Out is a “tip” because they just do it. They look at a new, actually-white washcloth in their hand and […]

G+ Hangout – Let’s Talk Decluttering! Tips and Strategies to Help You Declutter

January 9, 2014 By Dana White 5 Comments

56shares 53 0 3I had SO much fun at the hangout this morning. I’m still learning and may try some different things next week so I can respond to questions in real time, but it was fun to actually hangout with people and talk decluttering. I’m embedding the hangout here so you can watch. If […]

It’s Okay to be Sad

January 8, 2014 By Dana White 37 Comments

1.0Kshares 1.0K 0 19 As a mom, I know this. I’ve known it from day one. I never had a problem letting my babies cry. Sometimes they needed to release pent-up energy. Sometimes they needed to express their opinion. (Naptime sucks, Mom!) But they always eventually stopped. And they went back to being happy again. […]
