I’ve been meaning to do this since I returned from the Savvy Blogging Summit. Here are a some of the great bloggers I met.

I’m starting with the ladies I had dinner with on the first night there. There was lots of laughing, as these are FUN women.

Angie of Real Life at Home, She’s an amazing woman of many talents.

Megan of Half Pint House. On her card, she describes herself as a “Mary Poppins Wannabe.” Love that!

Connie of Smockity Frocks. Such fun, a completely down-to-earth mom . . . with 8 kids.

Bonnie of The Coupon Junkie. She is on fire working on all of the things she learned at the Summit!

Lauren of Mama’s Laundry Talk. I’ve linked to her before, because if you have questions about laundry, she’s your woman.

Amy of Raising Arrows. LOVE her tagline of Bringing Blunt-Edged Babes to Finely Sharpened Arrows.

Robyn of Our Homeschool Home, which is now named Add A Pinch. She posts the most fabulous screen-licking-good recipe pictures!

I’m so nervous that I’ve forgotten someone who was at the table, but if so, I’ll get to them in future weeks. My plan/goal/we’ll-see-if-I-remember-after-7-days-have-passed is to share other bloggers I met in the coming Saturdays.

Focus Check Friday – Squeezing Every Last Moment Out of Summer

July 30, 2010 By Dana White 3 Comments

0shares 0 0 0I think I’ve made my points with the kids. The house has to be cleaned to be livable. Someone has to clean it as we have no resident fairies. Cleaning is hard work. As soon as you clean it, it gets dirty and needs to be cleaned again. Mom usually does all […]

Daily Checklist and a Boys’ Room Decluttering Report

July 29, 2010 By Dana White 4 Comments

0shares 0 0 0The majority of my hair is still attached.  It has not been completely pulled out. My head, while it came dangerously close, did not explode. For these two reasons, I’m calling today a success. Today I: Cleaned kitchen. Swept kitchen and outer edges of wood floors in dining room and living room. […]

Relieved by Rules

July 28, 2010 By Dana White 3 Comments

56shares 56 0 0 As a mother, I am a leader. Sometimes I lead by force. Sometimes I lead by encouragement. But always, whether I like it or not . . . I lead by example. We have had a new addition to our home in the last month. My son, who is 8, bought […]

Daily Checklist – An Abbreviated Version

July 27, 2010 By Dana White 4 Comments

0shares 0 0 0My daily checklist posts have been random to non-existent lately. It’s not that I’m not doing anything.  I’m just not doing everything.  In the midst of summer fun, one surface cleared or one item of trash thrown away feels like a huge accomplishment, so my brain is censoring any nagging guilt over […]

My Sure-Fire Cure For a Messy House

July 26, 2010 By Dana White 13 Comments

1share 0 0 1 Here it is.  My most profound and life-changing revelation (in the area of housekeeping) to date. I know the cure for a home that is always messy.  A home with clutter everywhere you gaze.  A home that causes its owner to despair. Ready? Clean it. Now if you happen to be […]

Menu Plan Monday – Asian Salad and a Request for Reader Help

July 26, 2010 By Dana White 6 Comments

1share 0 0 1As much as I don’t feel like making a menu plan on Mondays, it’s amazing how much of a difference a plan makes. The last thing I want to do when I come home from the pool is make decisions about what to cook. First, before I share our plan, I need […]

Facing the Fear of the Known

July 25, 2010 By Dana White 7 Comments

85shares 84 0 1 Yesterday was one of those days when I was in the mood to clean. Those don’t happen often, but I used to depend on them. I would try, but get incredibly frustrated, and give up. And usually I would end up feeling hopeless. Things are better now. While no room yesterday […]
