Two Second Task Pile of Stuff to Nativity Scene at ASlobComesClean.com

I have no excuses. I saw this duster sitting in the wrongest of wrong places, and hadn’t moved it.

Therefore, what should have been my favorite Nativity display was instead just part of “stuff on the coffee table.”

Two seconds later, after moving the duster? It was back to being a sweet and meaningful display.

Hurry. Go spend two seconds doing something ridiculously obvious and come back and tell me about it!

What? Your nativity pieces all match? Huh. Interesting.

I just bought a Nativity set, because mine had missing pieces. Huh, go figure! I got it on 50% clearance, so not bad.
I love that you display yours on top of a Bible!!

The 2 second task I always seem to have to finally make myself do is pick up the stray leaf or thread bunch or whatever that is on the floor, that I’ve already inspected a handful of times to make sure it isn’t a cat hairball or a spider, respectively. I always seem to bend over, inspect it, then stand up relieved it’s not something gross, then continue on my merry way, only to do it all over again the next time I pass by. Although, I have gotten better since discovering this site! (thank you for that)

I threw away a kitchen rug that had developed a horribly large hole. This means I won’t trip on it anymore nor will it serve as a large dust collector/spreader.

It’s more amazing you still have everybody in the scene. We lost baby Jezus a few years ago and last year Joseph went away.
Ow, they took the ezel and cow with them.
So now I’m looking for a new set in the januari clearance.

I removed a small fluffy ball from the kitchen floor. My grandsons were playing with it in the summer. I thought they might play with it again so I left it there!! For four months!!? It’s gone in the bin now never to be thought about again!!

I am responsible for the nativity exhibit at our church bazaar this weekend. I saw this post just in time to put a bible out with one or more of the sets on display. Thanks for the wonderful idea.

I didn’t do a task, but I had to comment that the shepherd in our nativity set has a broken staff. It makes me smile every time I put it out. 🙂

I love that your nativity set doesn’t “match”! My grandma had a hodge podge nativity set because they were very poor, so she bought one piece a year until she had a complete scene. 🙂 I loved her nativity! It was such a special testimony to me that with her little bit of extra cash, that was what she chose to prioritize!

Shepherding can be tough, Connie! 😉 I cleaned the computer desk, because it was right in front of me!

I have three nativity sets…mine, my mother’s, and my grandmother’s (nearly 100 years old now)…and all three have ALL their pieces. I display all three in my china cabinet.

I put out our nativity scene the other day. My DD9 and I picked it up last year at a thrift store. Joseph is missing half his face but when I colored it in with a marker you couldn’t tell. 🙂 ….when at a normal looking distance. One wiseman is decapitated. He’ll look great when I glue his head back on. I was glad the person had included the head still. LOL I giggled because when I took the pic I had the broom with the dust pan right next to the scene. I wish I could include the pic! 🙂 Oh and the scene had been in its original bag in my trunk for 3/4 of a year and dining room floor until just a couple days ago. Eye roll! Now I will give it a proper home. 😁
