Isn’t this a constant struggle every year?
As my kids grow, I am working to get better at this gift-buying thing.
And as I work to streamline my home, I am much more aware of bringing “junk” into the house.
Therefore, I tried really hard to not buy anything just because it looked cool. That momentary gasp of excitement is not worth the total frustration of seeing that toy completely neglected and being turned into “clutter.”
So, overall, I feel pretty good about the gifts this year. They are all very kid-specific. I can’t guarantee that each and every gift will be a home-run, but I’m okay with each item being added to our home.
