Menu Plan Monday

Another week of baseball games and easy suppers.  Tomorrow is payday and it’s tempting to put “grab something” every night, but I really don’t want to use up our entire month’s budget this week.

Enter the Menu Plan to save the day!

Monday – Tacos

Tuesday – Turkey sandwiches and chips at the ballgame (Who’d want a juicy burger-joint-burger and fries when you can eat what you have for lunch every single day!?)

Wednesday – Chicken Chunks and pasta

Thursday – Crock pot BBQ Chicken Sandwiches

Friday – Out to Eat!!!

Saturday or Sunday – grill out burgers

There.  I did it.

I’m linking this up at Menu Plan Monday over at orgjunkie.com.

Garage Sale is OVER!!!

May 24, 2010 By Dana White 6 Comments

2shares 0 0 2 I’m so glad that my garage sale is finally over.  Those things are exhausting. For the most part, I followed my own advice and we did pretty well.  We had good traffic, but maybe not as good as some we’ve had in the past.  There were TONS of garage sales in […]

OOOoooh, "Contain"er . . . Now I Get It!

May 21, 2010 By Dana White 54 Comments

1.5Kshares 1.4K 1 128 I’m a word woman. I love love love words.  I love root words and compound words, alliteration and homophones, long words and short words, and made-up words. Love ’em. When we bought our fridge, I remember being overly giddy when it hit me how incredibly creative the brand name “Frigidaire” is.  […]

Focus Check Friday – Week 2 – Come Join In!

May 21, 2010 By Dana White 7 Comments

1share 1 0 0It’s Friday again . . . how exactly did that happen? Last week was the first Focus Check Friday, something I’m planning to do every Friday.  You can read this post where I explain its basic concept. My focus this week has been on our garage sale.  Our blankety-blank garage sale.  I’m not […]

It’s Okay to Keep One . . . Right?

May 20, 2010 By Dana White 6 Comments

20shares 20 0 0 As I work out in the hot and muggy garage this week, my daughter is having a great time.  Unfortunately, a large portion of her joy comes from finding long-forgotten toys meant for our upcoming garage sale. My automatic answer to her “Can I keep this?” question is no.  But if […]

Daily Checklist

May 20, 2010 By Dana White 1 Comment

0shares 0 0 0Today I: Made bed. Emptied dishwasher. Swept kitchen. Cleaned kitchen. Mopped kitchen.  (It’s Thursday.) Made to-do list (at 5 a.m. in an attempt to be able to go back to sleep, since my mind was racing). Hung up clothes in master bedroom. Closed cabinet doors. Checked bathrooms for clutter. I’m so glad I made myself walk […]

Here Comes the Big Bad Garage Sale

May 19, 2010 By Dana White 7 Comments

0shares 0 0 0 I’m having a big garage sale. Really big. As in, it’s tempting to list it in the paper as a multi-family mega sale, just so people don’t think all of this junk is mine. But it is mine. There’s nothing like wearing a dust-mask and sorting through bags and bags and […]

The Downside of a Place for Everything

May 18, 2010 By Dana White 12 Comments

29shares 18 0 11 I’m determined to find a place for everything. It was my New Year’s resolution for 2010. But with my tendency to be a little . . . well . . . excessive, this can have a downside. I’m a shover. When I find something in a random spot, I get excited […]

Daily Checklist – Regaining my Rhythm

May 18, 2010 By Dana White 6 Comments

0shares 0 0 0Two days of physically checking tasks off of my list has produced the desired effect. My rhythm is coming back. I’d gotten out of the habit of making a point to check off the list, so I’d started forgetting (or ignoring) certain tasks, so when I did them, it felt off. I […]
