Can’t wait to listen to this on my commute home this evening!
For about a week now I have been working on two daily tasks – a load of laundry completely done and the dishwasher done and emptied. Generally, since I’m not home in the day, I put a load of laundry in the washer in the evening, switch it to the dryer before bed and fold/put away in the morning. I run the dishwasher before bed and empty it in the morning.
This morning was a chaotic morning with extra stuff going on while I was getting everyone ready to go out the door. It was very tempting to just leave the clothes and dishes to be done tonight. But I didn’t! Instead of standing for 10 minutes convincing myself I didn’t need to do them, I used that 10 minutes and got to work. So glad I did it. Thank you!

I have just been recommended your blog by a friend so I am starting the podcasts from beginning. Loved hearing what you said about the gym, I thought I was the only person in the world that thought like that lol.
Regarding your comment on hiding the dirty dishes whilst I agree that you should do whatever it takes in order to open your house to family and friends, that is always going to be the most important thing in the world, I don’t think anyone should be afraid of doing house work whilst guests are there and in most cases you will find they will offer to help that time and also going forward if they are good friends because as you have always said about being open and honest, they will realise that you are struggling to keep on top of the housework. As you have also said in podcasts it will probably also resonate with them in their own home.
