Have I mentioned that I’m writing an e-book?
Because I am.
The much requested Deslobification Manual is coming out at the end of January. Not that I’m going to call it a Deslobification Manual, but that’s the basic idea behind it. Anyway, now that January is half over, it’s becoming one of those tunnel-vision projects that I love so much but which make it ten-thousand times harder to keep up with my own deslobification process.
Which is ironic, I know . . . but true.
Anyway, when things get crazy and I can predict full-and-complete distraction from all things housework-related, a menu plan is a must. Like . . . if I don’t make one we’ll end up eating ramen every night this week. IF Hubby runs by the store to get ramen. Because if there’s no menu plan I won’t even think to go shopping for ramen.
So here it is:
Monday – Fish. (Hubby and the kids are home all day and he is always willing to cook fish for dinner.)
Tuesday – Chicken Fried Rice. (Yep, this was on the menu the week before last but when you already have brown rice cooked and ready to go in the freezer, there’s nothing easier.)
Wednesday – Round Steak in the Crockpot
Thursday – Chicken with Faux Alfredo over pasta.
Friday – Out to Eat
Saturday – Birthday date?
Sunday – Leftovers
What’s on your menu plan this week?
I’m linking this up to Menu Plan Monday at OrgJunkie.com.

Lots of steamed veges. And no dairy. Got a lactose tolerance test coming up.

I read your Sunday plan with envy. People at my house EAT the leftovers!! Unless I’m making a giant soup from the turkey bones or something, I just can’t plan on leftovers. That sounds like such a perfect Sunday meal, too…
Oh well, with my current batch of kids being 12, 13, 14, and 16, they’ll soon (too soon!!!) start trickling away from home, and then I suppose I’ll have all the leftovers I could want. 🙁

I often find myself cooking extra rice on purpose–just so we can have fried rice!
Nony says
Exactly! No reason to ever cook only one meal’s worth of rice!

Although…deslobification manual would be a pretty fun title.
