Calculating Someone Else’s Undie Supply

Calculating Someone Else's Undie Supply at ASlobComesClean.com

I have mentioned that opening my big mouth and inviting my Sister-in-Law over “anytime . . . seriously” has motivated me to try to get the house back in order this week.

That motivation was good and all, but the real fire was lit when Hubby casually mentioned that his mom had casually mentioned that his sister had casually mentioned that she was planning to do her laundry at our house.

Which TOTALLY makes sense.

I mean, where else would they do it?  And I DID say that they were welcome ANYtime . . .   And it is a perfect way for us to really help them out, which is something I really do want to do.

My brain immediately started calculating their possible undie supply.  I weighed their personalities, my knowledge of their visible clothing supply, the date when they officially left their home, etc.

I’m figurin’ I have until Monday or Tuesday of next week before I need to be ready for some long-term hanging-out and laundry-doing.

My pick-ups and my wipe-downs have definitely taken on a little more meaning.

Why is it that even though I know the doorbell COULD ring, I’m never fully motivated until I know it’s GOING to ring?

(And I’m so thankful that my Major Laundry Room Overhaul has lasted.)

P.S.  I am so incredibly sad that everything that happened on blogger yesterday has somehow vanished into thin air.  I thought I was one of the lucky ones who was actually able to write and publish a post, but now that post is gone!  And some of my favorite comments also disappeared off of the post from the day before.  Grrr.

Like me, you were probably in the middle of a post when Blogger went down. Or you had published it already and then it disappeared. They said that would happen but they also said the posts that disappeared would go back on. Can you write them about it? They are on facebook talking about it.

I agree about the doorbell thing! I get scared of it but if I KNOW the doorbell IS going to ring that day, I'm super motivated.

Well, I'll repost my comment from yesterday. I have a "Yippee" moment any time I click on your blog and see that you have a new post!

I know exactly what you mean about waiting until the doorbell is actually ringing to pick up. I've known for two weeks a friend of mine was going to stop by on Friday morning and boy was I thankful at 9pm Thursday night-when my house was still not picked up-to receive the text saying she wouldn't be able to make it

Well, after two weeks, I have finally caught up reading from the beginning. I'm a little sad, but it will also give me more time to ACT on the motivation, rather than continuing to read. 🙂

So I'll say again, ANonymous, that's one of my fave comments EVER!

Oh Nichole, I know that feeling!

Heather, thanks so much for commenting! But hey, since it's a blog and not a novel, it will neeevvvvveeeerrr end!

I got excited after reading a few of your posts and finding out that your archives go back forever. I am always sad when a great book ends. I love finding bloggers who have a unique voice so I can start at the beginning of a very long “book”.
