Menu Plan Monday – The "What’s on Sale?" Edition

I know that every week should be planned around what’s on sale, but I’ve been falling off the smart-shopper-wagon lately.

Since coupon-ing isn’t really fitting into my schedule this year, the cupboards are not as well stocked as I like them to be.  And . . . . when our local newspaper subscription ran out, we didn’t renew it since I’m not going to garage sales like I used to.  The only problem is that the paper was also my source for local store ads.  The ads can be found online, but that means I have to think ahead enough to actually check them.

Thankfully, there’s the motivation of Menu Plan Monday.  So here goes, our mostly chicken menu for the week . . . . because that’s what’s on sale.

Monday – Baked Chicken Breasts and Baked Potatoes (I’m planning to cook all of the chicken breasts.)

Tuesday – Chicken Fried Rice

Wednesday – Chicken and Black Bean tacos

Thursday – Chicken casserole

Friday – I’m in a show, and hubby’s prepping for a school event while keeping the kids, so I’m guessing we’ll grab various things.

Saturday – Potato Soup (Didn’t have it this week due to a fun, impromptu family get-together.)

Sunday – Home groups.

Here’s hoping hubby’s in the mood for chicken!

I’ll be linking this up to Menu Plan Monday over at Orgjunkie.com.
