All I Wanted to Do Was Take a Funny Picture . . .

All I Wanted to Do Was Take a Funny Picture

Really. I just wanted a laugh from Hubby. I was going to send him a sneakily taken picture of this cutie-patootie:

puppy at ASlobComeClean.com

I was going to say something like: This is why I don’t eat food that I left in the living room, even just for a second. The picture I couldn’t quite get was of her shamelessly chowing down on what was left of my lunch within thirty seconds of me leaving the room to change over the laundry.

But I couldn’t get a good picture. The light was terrible. I zoomed and I repositioned as I tried to keep her from seeing me (she’s nice enough to wait until she thinks I’m out of the room and clueless), but nothing worked.

I finally gave up, but did swipe through all of the pictures to see if any might work.

And I saw that picture above.

Seriously? All I wanted to do was take a funny picture, and instead I get undeniable proof that I haven’t dusted that picture frame in who-knows-how-long. Blech.

Oh. The laundry pile? That isn’t a bad thing. It was Laundry Day and that pile was just waiting its turn.

Photographs – especially with a flash – have a nasty way of showing us what we don’t “see”, don’t they? :-/ It works for seeing things in the background that are usually “invisible” as well, I find.

    It’s dusting day – I haven’t dusted. I don’t remember when I last dusted. I’m having a bad case of ‘I don’wanna’s’. Phooey I guess I better go and dust *Something*

This reminded me of something I actually “dusted” this weekend. I was putting a bulletin board back up after rearranging some things and gave it a swipe across my jeans prior to hanging it. As for being properly dusted? Probably never.

This has nothing to do with your post, but you would be proud of me. I had a break through in my cleaning habits the other day. I got home from work at 9:30 PM after a terrible day and thought, “Yeah… I’m too tired to pick up the living room and clean the kitchen.” I went upstairs to go to bed, but found something that absolutely had to go downstairs. While I was down there, I decided to just finish the last of the dishes. Which then led to just wiping off the table. Which led to wiping off the high chair. Which led to wiping off the sink. Which led to picking up the living room floor.

It took maybe seven minutes? I was so happy when I came down to a clean kitchen and living room the next morning!
