Today, I’m sharing the decluttering resources that are included in the Ultimate Homemaking Bundle this year.
When I saw how many there were, I debated over how to go about presenting them to you.
Here’s the thing. Y’all are my people. Many of you struggle with the same brain-uniqueness issues I do.
My decluttering strategies work. And they work especially well for those of us who have previously felt like failures when we tried to declutter.
I also know that “my people” tend to get easily overwhelmed with decisions. (Hence, the struggle to decide whether something should stay or go . . . )
We struggle with the what-ifs in life. What if my child is only going through a phase and ends up deciding they do want to be a professional musician?? What if I donate this guitar and that alters some future universe where they might have picked it up and started strumming, only to learn they were a natural? Maybe they ignored the guitar for the three years after they got it (after three years of begging) because the time wasn’t right??
We fear making the wrong decision. And we’re cheap frugal.
Combining many failed past attempts at decluttering with fear of making the wrong decision and fear of spending money on yet another system that will probably end in failure is paralyzing.
So here are my thoughts on there being so much decluttering advice in the Ultimate Homemaking Bundle:
My course, The 5 Day Clutter Shakedown, is included. Its normal price, on its own, is $40. That means that paying $29.97 for the Ultimate Homemaking Bundle gets you $10 off that course.
Look at it that way, and give yourself permission to buy the bundle just to get that $10 discount on my course, and then never feel guilty if you don’t look at a single other thing in the bundle after you register for my course.
My course is hosted on Teachable, so once you get into it through the bundle, you can go straight the course and have lifetime access to it. You can watch the videos or listen to the audios again and again.
About The 5 Day Clutter Shakedown:
- The course includes five 10-12 minute videos in which I visually demonstrate my decluttering process by working through a very cluttered space, teaching you what you need to know to do the process in your home.
- The steps are the same ones I teach in Decluttering at the Speed of Life, and are extra helpful for visual learners or people who need reinforcement of the things I teach in the book.
- If your internet connection isn’t amazing, and you’re worried about streaming videos, there are mp3 (audio) versions of each video and PDF transcripts of each video.
- Again and again, I hear from people who watch the course together with their spouses and kids. They are so excited to let me know that they’re finally making progress because learning the process together means they can speak the same decluttering language and work together (instead of against each other) while decluttering.
- You don’t need to space your work out over 5 days. I wish I had named it The 5 Step Clutter Shakedown.
Here’s a video I made about my course:
If you’re the type to get easily overwhelmed with information overload, stop here and make your decision based on whether you think my decluttering course alone would make the Ultimate Homemaking Bundle a good value for you.
Now I’ll share why some of you might benefit from having access to many different decluttering systems.
While I’m incredibly confident in my own decluttering strategies because I’ve used them to work through (literal) truckloads of my own clutter, I am not delusional (enough) to think that my way is the only way.
I also know that the most successful declutterers are the ones that ultimately come up with their own system that works in their own unique home. And this often comes from taking a strategy from one method that works for them and a strategy from another method and molding it all together.
And for those desperate to declutter, I know how tempting it is (because I’ve been there) to think that each system or method that comes along could be “the one” that makes all the difference.
This desperation can either cause someone to overspend by buying every new thing that comes along, or to be paralyzed out of fear of spending money on something that won’t work for them.
So the Ultimate Homemaking Bundle is an opportunity to get access to multiple methods at once. Try one (I recommend trying mine first since we’re already friends), and then give another one a try when you feel stuck or need some fresh inspiration.
You have six months to get the products to the bundle, and once you have the products (either through downloading them or signing up for the courses) you have lifetime access to most of them.
Getting access to all these products in this unique way allows you to try a method and then not feel guilty if you stop halfway through or move on to try something else.
I’m listing all the decluttering-related products with their values and descriptions below. I’m also including the other cleaning-type resources in the Home Management category.
I’ll say what I know about the people who put them together, but I want to be clear that these are the products I have NOT looked at. As someone who writes for a living about decluttering, I don’t want to accidentally plagiarize.
