Today is book launch day! I’m so excited that Decluttering at the Speed of Life is out in the world! You can now get immediate access to all the digital versions, order (instead of pre-order) the paperback version, or start listening to the audio version!
Links to purchase are found here, or just look at your favorite retailer’s website.
I know a lot of copies have been spotted in Barnes and Noble stores, and I’d love to hear about any other sightings out in the wild!
Tonight, I’m throwing a party, and you are invited!
The party will be on Facebook, and you can RSVP here. We’ll talk all about decluttering and there will be PRIZES!
The door prize, which you can enter to win just by RSVPing, is a Kindle Paperwhite or NOOK GlowLight 3! Winner’s choice! Go here to RSVP now!
Throughout the party, I’ll do a series of live videos on various decluttering topics. Comment on these videos to be entered to win a prize that’s specific to that video! Prizes for individual videos include a Swiffer prize pack, a Tide prize pack, a three month subscription to PrepDish, a P&G cleaning prize pack, and more!

Congratulations! 🙂 Today must be a big celebration/relief/moment of satisfaction for you. Just downloaded my Audible copy. I’m excited to start listening! I’ve been reading your posts and I’ve read some from the newest, back and then some from the oldest, forward (hopefully that makes sense!) but of course, it means I’m taking in your philosophy in bits and pieces. Don’t get me wrong – I love it, and it’s nice to have little digestible pieces to ponder! But it will be awesome to hear the ‘whole story’ at once. I’m home sick today, so I’ll be getting started right away. Congrats again!

We received a package in the mail today… My husband pre-ordered your book for me in December when he got your first book for me for chirstmas (so sweet) . It is beautiful and the quick glance I’ve had so far is great. I asked if he signed up for the preorder bonus.. he had no clue about that but went to website and it’s no longer available… Can I PLEASE get that video series? I really want him and kids to watch w me.. we are trying to get house on market now… Major decluttering happening, but some is definitely being pile-shifted to garage.. need to donate and pitch junk

Can you email me, Cathy? And yay for your husband preordering for you!

Congratulations! I preordered and will be getting my book tomorrow (walmart). I was just checking my email and had received an email from The Nester. She has a lot of nice things to say about both of your books. Can’t wait to read it!

Thank you for letting me know this! I get her newsletter, too, but hadn’t opened it yet when I saw your comment.

What a great book! Since when does a decluttering book make someone both laugh and cry, and breathe a sigh of relief?! When my 14-year-old son saw me reading it, he asked if he could have it when I was done. (:
Do you have a post about getting over the procrastination of actually taking your donate boxes to the donate place? I live in a small town where the pickup services don’t run, so it means driving 30 minutes to the goodwill, or putting it in the local “swap shop” where my father-in-law certainly will see something and bring us back “something we could probably use.” d: By now, we have more than a carload of donate stuff, so *two* trips to the big city is even more daunting.
Dana White says
That’s tough. Honestly, though, it just takes a designated take-it-away day. Maybe plan an outing for that day?

As someone without a car I often will leave out a ‘free box’ or give away larger items on craigslist. It only works though if your community has a give away culture, which it might not if it’s smaller. I live in the student neighbourhood of city, so it’s easier. Still I have some big boxes that need to go out.

According to Amazon “package has left facility and is on it’s way to carrier.” Looking forward to your book. Although I have to confess I might read it backwards too, starting with 28 days to hope for your home.

I stumbled upon your book ON your book launch day and I had never heard of your blog before. I’m looking for inspiration and motivation and your book is helping!!
Our family of 5 moved overseas in 2011. We had a 20′ container to move with and a 20′ container for long-term storage. We lived in Abu Dhabi for 5 years and moved back in 2016 into an 1850’s farmhouse that was already a furnished house. Then, our 20′ container arrived from overseas. Then, our 20′ of long-term storage was delivered.
We are building a new house this year and having to tear this old house down. I feel like I have 3 households worth of storage and visible household things to sift through and I am completely overwhelmed.
I’ve asked my daughter-in-law to help! I am going to share what your book taught me as we get into this stuff together.
