I told you about this five minute “project” in my #5MinuteFriday post from two weeks ago. And then I never posted it last week, so here you go.
I’m sure you’ve been unable to sleep, just waiting to see how it turned out.
It’s five minutes better.
And as always, I’m amazed at the overall difference in how my living room looks and how my home feels after five minutes of better.
Here’s the before:
Here’s five minutes later:
I even had time to grab my Swiffer duster and get rid of some of the dust that hadn’t been dusted when it was a whompyjawed mess.
Have you set a timer for five minutes lately to tackle a messy spot?

Oh! I’m glad I happened to read this. I need to take just 5 MINUTES and work on a pile of sewing crafts that I need to organize or get rid of. I am dreading it, but I never thought of just committing to 5 minutes. That will help. Thank you!
Meanwhile, I’m desperately looking for a math book…..

I discovered your blog a couple of days ago and I love it! It’s incredible how much we can feel overwhelmed by some tasks that require such small time when you eventually do them. This post of yours inspired me to get up and go through two of my bookshelves that were very very messy. It actually took me 10 minutes to tackle that mess. It’s not perfect still, but as you said, it’s 10 minutes better!! Thank you for your slob-proof methods 😀
PS: sorry about my poor language, I’m Italian!
