It’s been a crazy day of hour-away grocery shopping and friend visiting, but I wanted to let you know that I guest posted today over at Raising Arrows. Amy just had a gorgeous baby boy and is taking some much needed time off.
I was thankful for the opportunity to stray from the housekeeping theme and write about my passion, parenting with purpose. Although I love this blog, it’s far from what I ever thought I would write about!!!

I know this is an old post but I loved, loved, LOVED that guest blog post! It seems that now-a-days people couldn’t care less about modesty. That is definitely one thing I will teach my daughter if I ever have one.

But why all this emphasis specifically on teaching *daughters* modesty, rather than *children* of both genders?
I don’t think I’d share your specific views on modesty, but that’s OK; different cultures are going to have different views. What I find really sad is that there seems to be this double standard whereby girls are expected to learn and keep to these rules and boys aren’t.

Great post!
Wonderful balance of autonomy for each child, and a parents’ job to model and make crucial decisions along the way.
