April’s Decluttering Update

Don’t forget that Sunday is May 1st.  I know.  I can’t believe it either.  I’ll put up the monthly decluttering update linky on Sunday night, so be sure to link up a blog post or share your progress and/or struggles in the comments.  (I won’t mess it up this time!)  Those who get their links in within the first day generally get between 35 and 50 hits, so it’s worth linking up early!

Anyone need an entertaining, informative, and inspiring speaker?

If you are in the DFW area (or within a few hours away) and are interested in having me speak at your moms’ group or similar meeting, please email me at aslobcomesclean @ gmail . com (with spaces removed, of course!).  I’d like to start speaking to groups in the fall, and need some people who are willing to be my guinea pigs first audience.  Small groups are fine!  I promise to be funny and I’ll wear make-up and everything!

Referral and affiliate links and such:

Thanks so much to those of you who signed up for Swagbucks last week using my link!  If you haven’t signed up yet, you can sign up here through my referral link, and use the code HelpJapan during registration to earn an additional 50 swagbucks, getting 80 swagbucks total to start you out.  That code expires on May 2.  (Sorry!  This offer has expired.)  If you’re not sure what Swagbucks is, you can read a thorough explanation here.

My "Big" Project This Week

April 28, 2011 By Dana White 14 Comments

12shares 12 0 0 Here it is. My big decluttering/organizing/cleaning project of the week: I cleaned off the dining room table. Perhaps you are thinking, “Ummmm, haven’t you done that before?  Like . . . a hundred times?  And written a hundred posts about it?” Yes.  Yes, I have. Yet it continually returns to slob-blogger-post-worthy […]

My Accomplishments for the Day – And the Giveaway Winner

April 27, 2011 By Dana White 5 Comments

1share 0 0 1Ummmmm. Let’s see. Hmmmmm. Well, five real-life people had clothes to wear and food to eat. I’ll think about that instead of the clutter strewn all over the living room floor.  It’s been a crazy day, and I’ve got nothing. Oh, and the winner of the Home-Ec 101 book giveaway is Merideth of: […]

How I Fix the A/C on My Suburban

April 27, 2011 By Dana White 10 Comments

0shares 0 0 0 Fix. Not fixed. I have no idea which verb tense that would be, but it’s the one that means something happens more than once.  Over and over. Last year, when we bought our 13 year old Suburban, the weather was nice.  Although we turned on the air, it didn’t have to […]

Opposite Ends of the Adaptability Spectrum

April 25, 2011 By Dana White 24 Comments

386shares 384 0 2 You’d think I was going to write about two different people who are on opposite ends of the adaptability spectrum. Nope. Just one person. Me. I’m on both ends. Lately, I’ve been whining about analyzing the effects of changes in my routine.  My brain and body seem to physically resist the […]

We Emptied the Trash Can . . . I Mean, Cleaned Out the Suburban

April 25, 2011 By Dana White 31 Comments

1.5Kshares 1.3K 0 155 That’s Hubby and me. Pre-blog, that’s the reaction we always had when I’d say “I really think we should keep it this way!” after cleaning out the master bedroom, the garage, the living room, the closet . . . whatever. We rarely react that way anymore. This deslobification process is working, […]

Menu Plan – 4-25-11

April 25, 2011 By Dana White 5 Comments

0shares 0 0 0I didn’t do a menu plan last week. Actually, I did,  But I didn’t post it. It wasn’t an oversight. I was a little embarrassed to put our meal-plan out there for the entire world to see. Mostly because we were at the end of the month’s grocery budget and I was […]

It’s Friday!!!

April 22, 2011 By Dana White Leave a Comment

0shares 0 0 0Actually, it’s Good Friday, and we’ve had a wonderful family day since the boys and hubby were out of school.  We went to a nearby historical village, and my 7yo kept saying it was “like a field-trip, but even better because we’re with our family!” Ummmm, music to this mommy’s heart. Now […]

The Smallest Disorganized Space I Could Find

April 21, 2011 By Dana White 23 Comments

258shares 258 0 0 If you’ve hopped over from Org Junkie, welcome!  You can read about my two decluttering questions here, where I explain why they work so well for my slob-brain!  Also check out the other methods that I use in my deslobification process. It’s drizzly today. And a half-day of school for the […]
