I’m about to admit one of my favorite self-indulgent pasttimes: looking up my book(s) on random library websites to see if they have it and how many holds there are on it!
You can indulge me and be entered to win a giftcard: Look up Decluttering at the Speed of Life on your local library’s website. If they have it, take a screenshot to post on Instagram. Tag me – @aslobcomesclean – and use the hashtag #declutteringatthespeedoflife. As long as you’re also following me on Instagram, you’re entered once you do this!
If your library doesn’t have a copy (many don’t yet), take a screenshot of your email requesting that they order one. Just be sure to block out your email address so you don’t post that on Instagram. Or, you can take a selfie with your librarian if you request in person that they order Decluttering at the Speed of Life!
I will notify the winner by tagging her/him on Instagram, and they’ll have 48 hours to message me with their email so I can send them the prize!

Hi Dana, thought you might like to know, up here in Ontario Canada at my local library in 2024, e books and hard copies are available, but audio books “all copies in use”. 2 holds on 1 copy of Organizing for the Rest of Us, 7 holds on 1 copy of Decluttering at the Speed of Life and 1 hold on 1 copy of How to Manage Your Home Without Losing Your Mind.
I personally don’t need to borrow them from the library because I already have my own copies. You are a much appreciated person in my home which is looking better by the day thanks to you. I am still making my way through your blog, have reached 2018 now from the very beginning only a couple months ago. I also listen to your podcast when doing bigger “projects” like clearing out my DD’s room now that she’s moved in with her bf and they don’t have the space for all her stuff. She is in for a bit of a shock when I notify her that I am not a storage facility and she needs to decide what to do with it all. 🙂
