Don’t Lend Anything to Nony

Thanksgiving is coming.

It’s my year to host for my family.

That means a minimum of 11 people spending the day here.

Doing all sorts of crazy things like playing, looking for cooking utensils, watching football games, using bathrooms, etc.

I’m excited to host, because I do love to have everyone all together.  I love to invite people into my home . . . when it’s clean.

That’s the key.

So, I’m working now to declutter my re-cluttered office, so that I can spend my time in November decorating and planning for the big day.

We’ll see how that goes.

First Drive-Me-Crazy Clutter Spot Conquered:

Honestly, this pile began as a to-be-returned pile.  It morphed into a to-be-dealt-with-later pile, and eventually into a pile of . . . well . . . you know.

I know I’ll regret this, but . . . if you know me, and you’re reading this post . . . use it as a reminder to never loan me anything.  Unless you’re willing to think of it as a gift, or you’re willing to drive to my house and dig through piles when you need it back . . . just don’t.

My intentions are good.  There’s a spot for these things.

But . . .  “remember that you need to return something” along with “remember that you’re going to see the person you need to return it to” with “remember to take it to the car on your way to see that person” with “remember that you remembered to bring it to the car” with “remember to get it out of the car” with “remember to give it to the person” . . . ?

It’s all just too much for people like me.

Here’s the spot now:

I know, some accessories would be nice.  I should also really reattach the door so the shoes would be hidden.

DON’T PRESSURE ME!!!!

Anyway . . . . it’s bare for now.  The “need to be returned” items are in the passenger seat of the Suburban.

I’m hoping for the best . . .

Everything else went to its proper home, generally either the trash can or a spot less than 10 feet away.

I'm the SAME way. Please don't lend me anything if you want it back, because while I have the best of intentions, it takes too long for me to return it (if at all…).
Congrats on getting the area cleaned!

Hey Sweetpea! I got it on ebay several years ago. It's technically a shoe shelf and the part under the bench comes out and has shoe slots in it. Of course, we never put shoes there because that would just be too much hassle!!!
