Daily Checklist

Made Bed.

Emptied Dishwasher.

Washed pots that soaked overnight.

Swept kitchen.

Put in load of laundry.

It was an automatic thought that I didn’t need to sweep the kitchen because I did it yesterday and it looked fine. However, yesterday it was a big job, and today it was a tiny job. My goal is for it to be a tiny job every day. And there was stuff to sweep up. So it definitely was not wasted time.

Now to go declutter something!

Okay, so I read this, and looked over at my kitchen floor, which I dutifully swept yesterday and thought “nope, mine are fine. this doesn’t need to be a daily task of mine. What’s her problem??!!” …But by this evening they were disgusting. Yup. I need to sweep my kitchen floor every.single.day. Sigh.

Oh, man…I’m so very glad I found your page. Reading through your blog and it’s seriously giving me hope that I can get out of this panic/depression mode every day because I’m so behind on my house! My oldest daughter was born the year you started your journey and now I’m stumbling upon it! I’m so grateful! I have 2 more little ones and with each child, each year has become less and less “organized”…it’s jut not my nature, but I do desire to do it! Thanks for sharing! I hope you’re still doing well! 🙂

It’s June 2017; I believe I found your blog/ website as an answer to my prayers. I have been so hopeless and I have read tried so many methods …really appreciate the humor too. Laughter & tears! It’s such an inspiration to find so many who share these thought patterns.
