Look at this cute, odd velvet bow-type-thingy.
My daughter and I worked in her room on Monday while the kids were out of school for President’s Day.
When I ran across the bow, I knew I recognized it. I just couldn’t quite place it. She knew. Grammy gave her a jean jacket for Christmas that included lots of interesting funkiness. I think it was based on the new Annie movie. My 8yo liked the button-related funkiness, but the oddly-shaped bow?
Notsomuch.
She doesn’t have a problem expressing her likes and dislikes.
Anyway, I asked her if we should keep it.
Surely. SURELY we could do something with it. SOMEthing.
She said, “If I don’t know what to do with it, I don’t want to keep it.”
I said “OK.”
And thought, “She’s right. It hurts my soul a little, but she’s right.”
Yay for children maybe (possibly, hopefully) not suffering from Decluttering Paralysis like their mamas do/did.
