Daily Checklist – It’s Not Just For Me Anymore

First, I wanted to let you know that Blogger was down for a while Sunday and Monday, and I think I lost a comment that showed up at one point, but then never published. So, I’m assuming that there were probably 50+ comments that I never even knew about, right?

Seriously, though, I wanted you to know that if you did comment and it didn’t show up, it wasn’t because I rejected it.

Today I:

Made bed.

Emptied dishwasher.

Reminded kids to put their dirty dishes in the dishwasher.

Had the kid who swept yesterday wipe counters/table today, and vice-versa.

Washed big dishes.

Supervised bathroom cleaning . . . post about that experience coming right up.

——-

Not that I didn’t know this, but I’m learning the real-life way that kids aren’t as thorough as grown ups are. Even grown-up slobs. It is my job to teach them and help them be more thorough, but I also have to accept that even though not every corner of the kitchen is being swept as well as I would do, it’s still being done. And hey, compared to never being swept, this has to be better.

    Dana,
I love your attitude & love your blog! Well done for letting your ‘perfectionist tendencies’ go & not letting them derail your ‘real’ progress!
    Love from the UK x
