Christmas Party Prep

I love the idea of organizing a second grade class Christmas party. I even love the finished product, and like-a-lot the actual party itself. But all the in-between of coming up with ideas and getting everything together and depending on people I really don’t know to bring certain very necessary items makes me a little crazy.

Today I made my bed.

I cleaned up the kitchen for the express purpose of messing it up again making sugar cookies for one party and 40 rice-krispie-treat ball/ornaments for the other.

That’s about it.

I also put an on-sale brisket in the oven to cook for 8 hours so it can cool and be defatted tomorrow and served for tomorrow night’s supper.

Last night I put out clothes for today.

I’m not doing very well on my daily tasks this week.

Heh…you have no idea how much you sound exactly like me. It makes me NUTS to rely on other people (esp. people I barely know!) to bring the other stuff. I always thought I was pretty laid back and easy going, but the more I've thought about it, the more I think I have a small control problem. LOL!
