I didn’t do a menu plan last week, and I definitely had to face the consequences. We grabbed dinner one night and that’s never good for the budget. This week I’m planning ultra-easy meals to keep that from happening.
Monday – Baked chicken breasts, buttered noodles and spinach
Tuesday – Turkey smoked sausage pan fried with hash browns.
Wednesday – Spinach artichoke pizza – I’m using a Boboli pizza crust I got at the bread store for 1.00. I’ll brush the crust with olive oil, and salt and pepper it. I’ll then sprinkle a very thin layer of mozzarella for some “glue” and top with thawed and drained frozen spinach which I’ll season with a squirt of lemon juice and some garlic salt. Add drained and chopped canned artichoke hearts, and cover with more mozzarella. If we have some chicken leftover from Monday, I’ll slice it up and put it on top. This is an absolute favorite of ours. I’ll probably just do a cheese pizza for the kids.
Thursday – Boy Scout Christmas party
Friday – eat out
Saturday – Grilled cheese and soup.

Hi Nony- I am loving your blog and I am so much like you. I started reading from the beginning a few days ago and I’m not sure if you already have a post on this or not. I was wondering if you have a suggestion for organizing a “knife” drawer and “cooking spoons and spatulas” drawer. I have two drawers in my kitchen one containing all cooking knives just thrown in and the other has all cooking spoons and spatulas just thrown in . Would love to know if you have a helpful solution to organizing these drawers.

Ummmm, I guess you’ll see in today’s post that I don’t have an organizational system for these drawers. Maybe someday! I will say that the more I purge, the more usable these drawers are.

old post, but I use an old glass cookie jar that does not have a top. Just set it on the counter and put all the spatulas, spoons, and such in it.

Someday I’m going to have to do a weekly meal plan. BUT I did finally do the pre-cooked ground beef. I wound up with five packages in the freezer, and my son used the first one today for tacos. I thawed that package just enough to break the meat up, and then he warmed it on low/medium with the chili beans until it was hot…and it was delicious! Tasted like it was freshly cooked burger. Thanks so much for the suggestion. I’m looking forward to doing it again. I just have to figure out a way to get rid of the greasy liquid. 🙂
