My New Book is Available for Pre-Order! Jesus Doesn’t Care About Your Messy House

I’m excited that my fourth book will be released on February 11th! That’s so soon, y’all!

This book is different from my previous books. My first three books, by design, did not contain spiritual content. So many times, when I’d received “spiritual encouragement” about cleaning or organizing, it backfired. Turning this struggle with my home into a spiritual issue took something I already felt bad about and added on a layer of spiritual guilt and confusion.

My new book is called Jesus Doesn’t Care About Your Messy House, and the title means exactly what it says. I’m diving into the spiritual side of my deslobification process. God created my brain to work the way it works, and the way it works isn’t a mistake. Accepting that I’m designed instead of defective removes the shame. Removing the shame allows me to move forward.

In the book, I discuss why it feels like a Christian is supposed to have a perfect home, and what Jesus actually says about cleanliness. I also share ways that God has used this struggle to help me understand Him more. Those unique opportunities I have to understand Jesus more make me (almost) thankful for my struggles!

I insisted the title of the book make it very clear that this book isn’t about cleaning, it’s about Jesus. Ultimately, it’s about God’s grace. It just uses this particular, strangely divisive example from my own life to explain what grace looks like and what Jesus does care about: your heart.

You can learn more about the book here.

If you’re in the Dallas area, Interabang Books is hosting a discussion and book signing on February 25th. I would LOVE to see you there!

You can also order a signed book through Interabang, though it won’t ship out until after the event (which is two weeks after release). On the checkout page, use the box to enter any personalization information.

Wherever you pre-order (or whenever, if you’ve pre-ordered already), go here to fill out the form with your pre-0rder information and download some fabulous digital bonuses to thank you for pre-ordering.

***PLEASE NOTE that pre-order bonuses are digital downloads and will be delivered immediately via email. They will not arrive with your book. Also, the ONLY way to get the pre-order bonuses is to fill out this form. If you don’t fill out the form, we have no way of knowing that you pre-ordered and can’t get you the bonuses.

Pre-order Bonuses for Jesus Doesn’t Care About Your Messy House:

  • a sample of the book to read now!
  • a downloadable five day Bible Study
  • an invitation to an exclusive live Q&A with me after the book releases

Go here to learn more, fill out the information, and claim your bonuses.

A little about the live Q&As. We’ll have three different categories of Q&As to choose from, and each will be held at two different times, for a total of six available sessions. (These will not be recorded, for the privacy of those attending.) You don’t have to decide yet which you want to attend, as we’ll set the dates and send out invitations about a week after the book releases.

The three categories to choose from for the Q&As are:

  • I’m all in! These pre-orderers are all in on the message of Jesus Doesn’t Care About Your Messy House and want to dive in deep and talk about it!
  • I’ve Got Questions . . . These pre-orderers have questions about this message. They’re not quite convinced that Jesus cares about their heart and not their house and want to ask those questions.
  • Nope! These pre-orderers are interested in the book because we’re friends, but they aren’t in on the Jesus stuff. But they pre-ordered so they want to talk about it.

I’m not claiming I have the answers to all your questions, but I’d love to have the discussion!
