Today I:

Closed cabinet doors.

Made bed.

Cleaned kitchen.

Emptied dishwasher.

Swept kitchen.

Did a 5 minute pickup.

Washed 2 loads of laundry.

Checked bathrooms for clutter. (Tried to pretend that I didn’t need to do this, but I definitely DID need to do it.)

Put away clothes in master bedroom.

Last night I:

Put out clothes for the boys.

Made lunches.

Cleaned up kitchen and ran dishwasher.

That is a long daily list! We are empty nesters and have downsized our home, but still have way too many possessions. We both work full time (my husband works away for 4 days then home for 4 days). I have long used the excuse that my job is mentally and emotionally exhausting, so I cannot bring myself to do anything on a work day. Now I find I have been off for 4 whole days, no hubby at home and all I managed was a few loads of laundry. I have your audiobook, Decluttering at the Speed of Life, but I feel like a paralysed snail.
I have a chronic desktop problem, but today is the day. I sort of want to get rid of the desk, but where will we pile up our papers? The dining table?
