The world changed a year ago, and whether you realize it or not, you’re likely emotionally exhausted. Some have experienced unimaginable loss, some have worked more hours than they ever thought possible, and for all of us, small, everyday decisions turned into big, potentially life-altering ones. The thought of making more decisions, ones we don’t absolutely have to make, feels like too much.

I’m acknowledging this reality and giving you ways to get started decluttering without using emotional energy.

Hi Dana! I really enjoyed this podcast tonight. I didn’t know you had this podcast. I found you on YouTube (and Rumble) a few months ago). I have an empty nest (except the dog 😁) and recently moved into a 450 sq ft 😳 studio next to the clinic where I work (I don’t know what I was thinking! Lol). I have had quite a struggle decluttering and downsizing. I got a lot done while I listened to you. It made the time go by fast and made the decluttering easier. I appreciate you. Your steps and logic of just making the space better makes so much sense to my brain. I have to thank you for sharing your process. It helps me so, so much! I had to laugh when you talked about not necessarily starting with the garage, because I was listening in the garage! Haha I knew what you meant, though. I feel so much better when the visible areas are better, too. We are getting colder weather and maybe snow again next week, so I want my car in the garage. Otherwise, that table… ugh! Thanks, again!

Hi Dana. I’ve been following you for a while. I connect with you! I first heard of you through my hero Dr.Frank Buck. I since have retired from my job and now instead of needing tips on using digital organizational tools, I need to address the clutter mounded up at home. I am facing the clutter not dealt with during the 16 years of working, 33 years of 3 children and their treasures and the inheritance of belongings of two parents that have passed. On top of that I sew, craft, up-cycle furniture. And worst of all I’m an indecisive, sentimental procrastinator! I am watching your videos and reading Decluttering at the speed of Life. I have started donating clothing and yesterday I recycled 20 lbs of magazines dating 1990-2006!!!
Thank you for sharing yourself with the world. I have so many of the same thought processes and am trying to change my way of thinking and take action. I am trying to become a healthier and more productive person and not be paralyzed by the clutter in my life.
