Frightening to Fabulous Patio Project (A Guest Decluttering Post!)

Nony here!  I’m excited to show the before and after pics from one of YOUR decluttering/fixing-up projects. If you have pictures, I’d love to share them too!  (With or without your name!)

My name is Michele and I have been de-cluttering for 3 years.  A Slob Comes Clean is one of my favorite blogs.  When Dana asked if anyone had a project to share, I knew I wanted to participate. Here is my frightening to fabulous patio project

Taking before/after pictures is one of my favorite de-cluttering methods. It keeps me on track and has helped me get to the end of several projects that I seemed to start but never finish.  For the entire month of June 2012 I tackled one of my biggest projects to date, the outdoor patio and pool area.

I tried to pretend this area just did not exist.

From general neglect to the buried outdoor clutter, the word “relaxing” would have been the last word to come to mind for this space.  After countless hours of hard work and with the help of several friends, it became the perfect place for my friends and family for the entire summer……

To start on a project this size, I began pulling pieces off the patio and working on them individually.  Lots of spray paint, and a few simple sewing projects later, it started to come together.

Nice! Enjoy the fruits of your labor. My boys and I spent a good amount of time on Saturday scrubbing our patio furniture so we could actually sit on it without getting dirty. Along with my husband spraying the millions of weeds that were over taking parts of our yard.

Krylon brand in gloss black is what I used on all the wrought iron pieces.
