Oh, That’s Right! It’s Monday . . .

My days are all confused.

I am bone weary from my non-stop learning at the Savvy Blogging Summit, and haven’t quite registered that today is the beginning of a brand new week.

But when this pile outside my laundry room caught my eye, I realized that today is Monday.

Because Monday is Laundry Day.

And today is the day when hubby knows to put his socks in the little hallway where I normally sort laundry.

While I do feel some guilt that I have absolutely no intention of doing any laundry today . . . I also feel a little fluttery inside.

It makes me happy and a little proud to know that he believes in me. That my laundry routine is enough of a routine that he notices.

It definitely wasn’t that way pre-blog.

Of course, then I remember that he puts them there because he knows that even with a full-fledged Laundry Day it will never occur to me to go looking for his sock bag.

I love that man.

Are you really not going to do laundry today? ‘Cause if Hubby took the time to put his socks out in the hallway, surely he will be crushed if you don’t wash them. And won’t the world end if he runs out of black and blue dress socks?! And if you don’t do laundry, then that pile of socks will just…sit there. In the hallway. I say, summon your courage and do a load! You can do it! I believe in you, too!

All of his pants are long enough to cover his hairy ankles. He’ll be fine!

Actually, I did do ONE load since the boys would have had to go to our musical camp au natural if I didn’t. And remember, a pile of socks doesn’t even register in my Slob Vision.

I dont even recognize days any longer. I know that it must be the weekend when my husband is home, but thats as far as it goes. Between my dad’s back injury, shuffling children and luggage between two houses and VBS, I’m swamped. I’m just thankful that we are eating dinner at church every night. Oh, btw we have a yard sale coming Saturday that I’m TOTALLY unprepared for. And, my daughter wants to set up a lemonade/snack stand so Friday will be spent shopping/baking before vbs/band practice Friday evening. Next week is school preparation. I need it ALL done before my dad’s back surgery on Thursday. Please pray for me. 🙂

I’m impressed your husband your husband listens to you. Mine says no-one tells him what to do. Keep up the great work. And I love your water balloon tip. Hope you had a blast.
