Daily Checklist – Valentine’s Day ’11

Having our school Valentine’s parties last Friday and our family Valentine’s Dinner on Saturday makes today a little anti-climactic.  But I did remember to wish my hubby a Happy Valentine’s Day this morning.

Laundry is going.  I didn’t get home last night until late, and forgot to get it all sorted.  As I was heading to bed, completely exhausted, I did decide to be ultra-noble and dig around for one load’s worth.  I did darks, as I always seem to have enough for two loads of that, and could catch any stragglers today with the second load.

This morning, I:

Emptied the dishwasher, which hubby had so sweetly started for me last night.  I’m pretty sure I would have rationalized putting that off.

Cleaned kitchen.

Wiped down counters.

Swept kitchen.

Did Bible study.

Exercised.

Put on make-up.  (Totally bizarre for a Monday, but I’m going up to the kids’ school to help with the book fair.)

Oh, and I cleaned off the End of the Bed and hung up the I-think-these-are-still-clean clothes.  Go me!  That’s officially a week of that spot being clear.

Or at least clear-ish.

How’s your checklist going today?  If you’re new around here, check out my post about building a daily checklist.

You have successfully cleared off my end of the bed pile too! I actually keep a "decent", while not spotless, home, but I typically keep 2 ft pile at the end of my bed…not sure why I can't manage my clothing situation. Anyway…a few post back it was suggested to keep a "semi-clean" basket in the bedroom to put the clothes that don't go in the laundry but don't go back in the closet either. That has saved me!

Since the last post, I’ve put away a few more shirts & checked my calendar to see what supplies I need for this work week.
Contacted babysitter & boss to stay in communication before it’s officially decided weather the roads are going to keep us from working, or any other thing that keeps us from doing our job.
