. . . . install my new printer so I can print coupons so I can go grocery shopping so I can buy some cheese so I can cook supper tonight.
Whew.
I wanted this to be Project Week, but it’s been pretty hit or miss. Today, I was spurred on by the fact that I need cheese for supper and would like to print some coupons before I go shopping and that meant I had to install our new printer.
Sounded like a good project that was on the list anyway.
But here’s my slob-reality . . . in order to install the printer, I had to conquer this:
And part of conquering that was dealing with this:
Yes, that’s four partially used bottles of glue.
Thankfully, unlike Monday when time got away from me, the clock was on my side today. By nine a.m. I was done with my Bible Study time, had cleaned and mopped the kitchen, and was ready to get started. I decided to make up for not doing the bathrooms on Tuesday, and set the timer for 20 minutes, just to see how much I could get done. In less than 18 minutes, I had wiped down and scrubbed three toilets, and cleaned the counter tops.
Then I decluttered the desk, got the printer to the point of running its (incredibly long) installation process, and decided to be crazy and pull out my tap board for some exercise. Now my legs are jello, but it feels great to be reminded that there are days when things run smoothly.
One project (that was really three projects) down, 498 more to go.

I understand how you feel. I'm excited, since trying to get on top of the housework I decided that part of that is going to be folding and putting away the laundry as soon as I take it out of the dryer. For the last few days I've actually kept up with it! 🙂 It is such a nice feeling.

Great to hear about your progress but I've gotta ask: what is a tap board?
Nony the Slob says
What??? You don't have a tap board?
Ha ha, it's a board I made so I could tap dance for exercise. MUCH more fun than the 30 Day Shred.

I have a silly question–how do you like your printer? We have decided to upgrade our ancient printer because the ink cartridges are so pricey. I want to look at the Kodak printers because, in addition to the copy/scan functions, the ink cartridges are WAY cheaper. That means I can start printing online coupons!

So far, so good. I got it for the cheaper ink prices, but I can't figure out yet how to have it only print in b&W for my coupons. I really don't want to waste color on that.

Haha! Just like me! Everything I try to do involves 40 have to do first steps. That’s why I live in such chaos.
And I’m drowning in laundry. And it’s only me here. sigh
Maybe you’d like to stop by my blog? You were one of my major inspirations to starting it, and I quote you several times.
Thank you, for being you!
And you ARE funny!
