Your mugs don’t have to match. Let him keep his ‘ugly’ one and you keep one of yours. Right now, I’m about to put his ‘ugly mugs’ up high where we also keep extra paper towels. Once these mugs are isolated, I think (hope) he will realize he has too many of these mugs to keep fiddling with.

Thank you Dana for your caring heart. Today’s podcast #329 was almost spot on perfect for me. Yeh there’s no such thing as perfect but this podcast checked a lot of my boxes in this season that we are in. I listened as I loaded the dishwasher strategically. 2/3 of my now adult children did not have their graduation as I had hoped either. I was more upset than them. Just trying everyday to do what ya can when you can is a struggle when the container dynamics has seemingly exploded. There are containers of various sizes & shapes for sure. Getting the plan of a layout of shelving & storage to meet our particular need at this present time seems incredibly impossible. I do edit + declutter
but somehow other stuff replaces it. I’m not a quitter so everyday The Take it there now To where it goes is replaced by: where is it’s home, or where was it’s home or where should it’s home be, or can it be released & leave this house. (My silent scream!!!) I did work outside the home as private home care+. I came home too exhausted to do my own house work/chores/maintenance. Thanks again. Gotta fly now, n pick up hubby from his workplace. Blessings2u ✨

How to handle old hobby/craft/sports items that I used (thoroughly enjoyed) in the past for years, but have not used for a long time. Part of me still wants to return to # interests once more. On a side note, I have lots of excellent quality and $$$ items. It is difficult, for example to select 1-2 excellent metal watercolor pans/kits when I have a wide variety of items. Can downsize a lot of things but hobbies, crafts, books are like selecting 2-3 children out of a huge household… LOVE all of your books and You Tube presentations. Thanks for helping me and lots of others to move forward. The 5 minute downsizing suggestions and a donation box are great helps!

First time hearing the podcast instead of YouTube – thanks for directing us over here. This podcast is so relatable! Ramen wrappers on the counter in the morning – LOL, here too!
I wanted.to mention to you another discussion I just listened to by the couple who made one of the viral “DOOM Box” posts. They cover much of the “why”, and I kept wanting to tell them your method of “how” to deal with it! You, plus Dawn and her inventory concept.
In case you want to have a listen:

For me personally, my house is a disaster right now, but there were times in younger days when I kept it spotless (albeit with full drawers and cabinets). And I honestly can’t tell if I’m dealing with my own ADHD, or if it’s just a result of living with a husband and 3 sons, some.of whom are autistic/ADHD and me just being unable to keep up with them all. Probably a bit of both.
Thanks again for all you do 🙂
