Soooo, I thought I was better and that this stomach bug from a-very-hot-place was done.
I was wrong.
I’ve been obsessively washing my hands, and trying to take it easy while getting some writing done for the week. Which is easier said than done, since my favorite 8yo editor is also home sick. He’s full of curious questions and assumes that I love his over-the-shoulder real-time writing suggestions.
But I’ve done a few things on my checklist. Survival things. Like unloading and re-loading the dishwasher.
And making my bed.
I’ve also kept laundry going through the washer and dryer. It’s a good thing I’ve accepted that laundry really can’t wait. And since my almost-10yo has recently turned most of his pants into capris by growing, one week’s worth of clothes isn’t just an experiment, it’s our reality.
No matter what, my family needs clean clothes and clean dishes.
How’s your day going?

You know that’s my favorite movie ever, right? I just had to link to it since at this moment it’s only 4.49!!!
ok. you will panic me. laundry can’t wait? i told it it can.:)) my dryer just broke so it will be 3 more days until I get one. 5 days without laundry for a family of 6:) should be fun.
Ha! I had a nice, manageable to-do list today. And then I got a huge letter from a long-lost penpal. And my little brother sent me some work for school that I promised to correct.
But I made dinner. And I am going to load the dishwasher. And that will be it for today. I think you’re doing great!
So sorry you have been sick. No fun when the momma is sick.
You have really encouraged me in my homemaking journey. I like things to be clean and organized, but I don’t really like to clean and organize :).
I have been very consistent for about two months now in laundry, doing my ironing on Monday afternoons (no matter what), and loading and emptying the dishwasher. It really has made a difference.
