Might As Well Be Summer

We’re wet-headed, sunburned, and sleepy.

LOVE IT!!!

Today was a glimpse of the coming summer. 8:30 a.m. – Kindergarten awards. 9:00 a.m. – 2nd grade picnic. Noon – spontaneous idea to go swim with friends.

So much fun. No schedule. No tasks completed other than the pre-7 a.m. ones – making bed and emptying dishwasher.

If you want to read a post where I accomplished something, scroll on down, because this isn’t it.

Sounds like so much fun! Much better than the lazy rainy day we're having here.

FYI – I finally posted some green clean recipes on my site.

I'm with all of you! I "get my kids back" from public school in one short week! I can't wait! These summers are becoming even more valuable as my kids get older. My son starts high school in the fall, and my youngest will be ten in June. Summer means long talks, swim dates with friends, grocery shopping and cooking together, home-school projects that I do right along with them, Bible quizzes after lunch, and daily help with ALL the housework. I still cry the first week they are back in school! Summer is wonderful, heat and all!
