Daily Checklist

Got up at 6:20.

Made bed.

Put on workout clothes.

Emptied dishwasher.

Cleaned up kitchen.

Exercised.

After this, my day plan was totally shot when my husband and I decided one of the kids needed to go to the doctor for a pain that still hasn’t gone away. Soooooo, the entire day was spent making the appt, picking up kid from school, going to appt, taking back to school, and all that goes with all of that.

But the good news . . . is that my kitchen is clean. If I hadn’t planned and committed ahead of time to get it done first thing in the morning, a day like this would have meant a filthy Friday kitchen. Go me!

its amazing how little things like coming home to a clean kitchen can make you feel so much better about everything you *didn’t* do!… the other day, knowing i was planning to spend the entire day at my mom’s house to go swimming with the kids, i washed all the dishes first thing in the morning and then prepped marinara sauce for the crock pot so that all i’d have to do when we got home was boil noodles. win!

Yes, that IS a wonderful feeling to come home to a clean kitchen, and to know that YOU were the one that planned to get it done and followed through.
