Guilt free rest is the very best perk of having a decluttered home. I didn’t know that when I started decluttering, so I’m sharing it with you now.

I listened to this episode this morning while cleaning the kitchen after breakfast and trying to keep up on laundry, which I don’t have a good routine for at all. I have probably heard you talk about folding laundry right out of the dryer before, but that concept hasn’t actually made it into my brain.
Right away I was thinking there was no way I could do that as the load was a larger one and my two year old gets into stuff whenever he follows me around my house while I clean. But, I told myself I would just try it and see if it helped at all. The alternative would be to take the full basket up to my room and I KNOW it won’t get folded if I do that. I don’t see it when it is in my room and I forget about it.
I think it took less than 5 minutes to fold the clothes into the basket and put them away. There were several interruptions from my kids that I had to tend to, but that load is actually folded and put away in hardly any time at all!
I have a small load in the dryer right now which will probably take one minute to fold, and then a load of kids clothes in the washing machine while will take a bit longer to fold because it is two kids worth of clothes from the week.
I am going to focus on folding right out of the dryer for both those loads. That will make such a difference in the state of laundry in our home this week!
