Thank you for addressing the shame factor. I have been decluttering for a bit more than a year and had trouble identifying anything trash. Like you outlined, I have been helped by the “where would I look for this (name the thing anyone else would know is trash but I can’t see that) ” and have gradually become able to say,
“oh I would put it in the rubbish bin and not look for it again.” Thank you. Gradually reducing the shame helps me see better. I have ordered your new book and will be very glad when it gets to Australia so I can read it.
