I just want to say thank you to you for this podcast. Even as I write this message I have tears welling up in my eyes, because it is exactly what I need to hear. I don’t worry so much about how my ability to keep the house affects my children, but I think about it a lot in many other ways. I have 3 kids, ages 10 years, 8 years & 10.5 months, and as a homeschool mum, I feel so responsible everything about them. Your podcast today really helped me to see the need to let go of this heavy burden, which I know already will be a step by step process. But thank you, you said what I needed to hear and I’m very grateful for what you shared. Blessings to you as you finish your book!

I also want to say thank you, for your special gift of “going deep” in the lightest, most pleasing and humble way. This topic touched me very closely and I feel like I’ll be digesting what you said for awhile. For some, like myself, I suspect that guilt over the house can be an almost consciously willful distraction from those deeper duties to my family….

This was my absolute favorite podcast you’ve ever done. so poignant, so relevant to my life. I listen to your podcast not because I’m a slob but because I like hearing your story. I’ve learned so much about housekeeping and ways to keep my house under control just with your tips. I especially liked what you said about God having complete power over our lives, that we don’t need to be perfect and we certainly aren’t because He can be made perfect through our weaknesses. Thank you Dana, for your honesty. You’ve really given me so much to think about.

Thanks so much for doing this podcast! It’s my favorite by far! I have wondered and worried about several of the issues you discuss in this episode before . Thanks for the perspective and honesty.

The big picture of what we value as a family (following God) can be so easy to lose in the day-to-day of life. And honestly, the freedom you’re talking about, through Christ, is such a better motivator for change then guilt. Thanks for wading into this topic!

Thank you Dana, so much for this podcast!! You totally did put things in perspective for me!! I completely needed to hear this reminder! I love how authentic you are and how you said to leave out the “spiritual side” of things would not be authentic of you! I love all your podcast, but this one is absolutely beautiful! This spoke to me on so many levels. Thank you so much for putting this out there!! I pray God will bless you over and over again for the blessing you have been to my life and the lives of so many other women I’m sure:)

Dana, thank you for this podcast! I’m coming late to the game for the podcasts, but I listened to this one as I cleaned today, and it was so reassuring! Having a broader, long-term view of our kids and the impact we have on them takes off so much pressure. As my oldest reaches her teen years, I’m coming to realize much more that she is her own person (which I’ve always known, but now is really hitting me), and that everything I want to instill in her about life and faith will still come down to her own decisions. Thanks again for talking about this, even though you didn’t want to!
