I don’t HATE a lot of things, but cleaning cookie sheets is one of them. I now line my sheet with parchment paper when I make fries, pizza, oven roasted vegetables, cookies, etc. Then I just throw the parchment paper away and put the cookie sheet back in the cabinet after it cools a bit (WITHOUT having to wash!). As long as your item bakes at 425 degrees or less, you are good to go and I find things crisp up and do much better in general on the parchment paper (I use aluminum foil for things over 425 but they seem to stick more and I’m not too fond of aluminum). A 50 foot roll for $3.69 at Target lasts me about 4 months utilizing it at least 4-5 times a week. A worthy investment for me to prevent the stack-up of baking sheets that seem endless.

If you’re looking for a podcast to try, you could try the vinyl Cafe, with Stewart Maclean. If you can find ‘Dave cooks the turkey’, it’s one of my faves. It’s also brilliant to listen to with your family.

So we are 6 1/2 weeks into school and I still am not back in a routine. Already have had sock kids, one was out for a whole week including 3night 4days in the hospital. Just want a normal week. But even the weather is against me. Here in Missouri it’s fall in the morning and summer type weather in afternoon. So I have some of everything out as far as clothes are. I so need to catch up with laundry. Did I mention I have 7 out of 8 kids home plus my grandson living here for now? I may be behind but they are feed and have clean laundry ( not always folded) and the dishwasher is running as I write this.
