How to Redeem Swagbucks (And a Sign-Up Code!)

I haven’t talked about Swagbucks in a while, but now is a great time!

There’s a code for people who are signing up for the first time to get 70 extra swagbucks!  Just enter the code: HOLIDAY100S DURING the sign-up process and you’ll start out with 100 total swagbucks!  I’m sorry.  This code has now expired.

Just in case you’re not sure what Swagbucks are, let me explain.  You earn Swagbucks by doing various things.  One way is by using Swagbucks.com as your search engine.  When you do this, you will randomly win either 3, 7, 20, 40 or however many at a time.  Basically, you’re accumulating Swagbucks for something you already do online.

You can also earn by actively doing things on their site such as completing surveys, watching videos, etc.

Y’all . . . I know someone personally who actively maxes out her Swagbucks earnings everyday and has been able to purchase a new COMPUTER this way.

I don’t have the time to do that, but I do earn them consistently just by my internet searches that I’d do anyway.  And I’ve been able to do a significant amount of our Christmas shopping through what I’ve earned.

Confused?  Want to know how to convert Swagbucks into a Christmas budget?  Well . . . you accumulate Swagbucks and then use them to purchase items in the Swag Store.  I use them to buy Amazon giftcards.  For 450 Swagbucks, I can “buy” a $5 Amazon giftcard.

I generally redeem for a giftcard every time I get to 450 swagbucks because you can only get 2 per day and five per month.  I learned that the hard way when I let my Swagbucks account build up, thinking I would redeem them all at once.

But for right now through the end of 2012, while the Amazon giftcards still work that way . . . all other giftcards have had their monthly limits lifted.  AND they’re all on sale for only 500 Swagbucks for a $5 giftcard!  That’s a significant savings on many of them.  These giftcards include Walmart, Chili’s, Steak ‘N Shake, Starbucks, Lowe’s and many more!

I’m so excited about this!  Over the holidays we end up out and about and eating in restaurants more.  How awesome to have giftcards to help out with that!

If you’re still confused, check out this post where I explain the very basics of Swagbucks.

All links in this post point you to Swagbucks through my referral link, but I truly do love Swagbucks and recommend it because our family has benefited so much from it!

Just don’t forget to use the code HOLIDAY100S DURING the sign-up process!  That will get you 70 extra swagbucks!  You’ll start out with 100 total swagbucks!

I have been steadily reading through your blog from the beginning. Today I read this post and went down to click read newer post and there isn’t one. 🙁 I feel like crying. I read every chance I get and have actually taken a lot of your ideas and used them. I am so proud of you on your journey from slob-dom and hope to one day be able to reach the point you are at. Especially with my master bedroom from (a very very hot place)…. Thank you for your blog and sincerity. From Krystal in Louisiana…..

Nony – Any idea how long this code is good for? Is it already done?
