Daily Checklist – A Few Days Worth

I haven’t written out my daily checklist for at least two days now. Maybe more. I have good excuses.

Monday was Memorial Day.

Tuesday and Wednesday I volunteered at my kids’ schools exactly during my normal blogging time. Writing anything at all felt like an accomplishment.

But it’s not that I haven’t done anything. I’ve been faithfully keeping the kitchen clean, sweeping daily, emptying the dishwasher, hanging up clothes in the master bedroom, doing laundry, blah blah blah and yada yada yada.

Not perfect, but I’m hanging on.

Today I:

Made bed.

Cleaned kitchen.

Swept kitchen.

Emptied dishwasher.

Mopped (it’s Thursday, after all).

Cleaned bathrooms since I didn’t do it on Tuesday. (Yes, I do feel a standing ovation is in order.)

Did the horrible-terrible-very-bad 30 Day Shred DVD.

It’s really my last day before summer begins, and I was determined to make it count. I wanted to clean the bathrooms so that when the kids take over that job on Tuesday, it won’t overwhelm them with more than a week’s worth of normal-bathroom-grossness. Tomorrow is a half-day and there’s a sing-a-long at the school, but I’ve decided to not go to it until I have worked out and dusted and vacuumed.
