Plans, Schmans

I had such big plans for today.  So many little projects that need to be done.  Clean out the linen closet, changeover to summer clothes, blah blah blah and yada yada yada.

But alas, plans rarely go as . . . well . . . planned.

It probably wasn’t a good sign that I remembered (at 7:11) that my son’s school was having Muffins for Mom at 7:10 this morning.  I try to look nice(ish) when I go to his school, but this morning’s rush didn’t leave much opportunity for that.  I went for the workout look.  If your hair needs to be washed and you don’t have time to put on much makeup, Nike capris and a t-shirt make it seem that you’re headed to the gym right after this.  Not that I was.

Then, after rushing home and working on the kitchen, planning in my head how in the world I was going to get everything on my list done, hubby called to see if we could take the car to the shop.  Sure!  Why not??

So off we went, and then on the way back, he wanted to stop so we could vote.  SURE!  WHY NOT?? I mean, I’m in my workout clothes, but hey . . .

Home.  Frantic kitchen cleaning.  Bathrooms wiped down (it’s Tuesday after all).  Total rationalization to not make the cheeseburger pockets that didn’t get made over the weekend, but are on the menu plan for tonight.  Except that tonight is going to be equally as crazy as this morning, with PTO stuff at the school all afternoon, dentist appointment, one car, daddy having appointments all afternoon, and T-ball game at 5:30.

So I made them.  Fast and furious, but they’re done, and we have supper to take to the ballgame tonight.  And I’m more than a little proud of myself for that.

Whew.

You have been busy! And congrats on pushing through and getting the supper done. At the end of the day you will be so glad you did it.

Way to go on getting dinner done. I know the feeling and I know days like that! Good job.
