Menu Plan Monday on Sunday

If I don’t do it now . . . .

I had a menu plan last week. But then, nothing quite went as planned.

For this week:

Monday – Quesadillas

Tuesday – Spaghetti

Wednesday – Sub Sandwiches at the ballgames – I’m going to make two big sandwiches on loaves of french bread and cut them into pieces to share.

Thursday – Our only night home this week – Beef stroganoff

Friday – out to eat

Saturday – Leftovers

Sunday – Soup and Sandwich supper

I know that this is a pretty lame menu, but with ballgames and everything else going on as school ends, I have to plan easy things. As I’ve said about a ba–jillion times before, having a menu plan makes everything in the house run more smoothly. With how things have been lately, I need all the help I can get. It’s time to start getting down and dirty with my own garage sale prep, and if knowing what we’re having for dinner allows me 30 minutes more work-time, I can’t afford to not do it.

Please note that if anyone reading this (Mom/Dad. I’m talking to you) happens to come see a ballgame and desires to take us out to dinner, plans can be thrown out the window.

Check out better menu plans at Orgjunkie.com’s Menu Plan Monday.

I found your blog (somehow!) this weekend and wanted to thank you! My daughter (10yo) and I are attempting to declutter our 'palace'. I have read countless 'decluttering' books and found your advice – 'where would I look for this item?' and put it there – to be SO helpful!

So, please dont think that no-one is reading your blog – we are! We may just be too shy to respond! Tasha

I don't think your menu plan is lame at all and knowing how crazy May can be for families with children, it's totally appropriate. THIS would be a lame menu plan:

    Monday – McDonald's

    Tuesday – Wendy's

    Wednesday – Subway

    Thursday – Beef Stroganoff

    Friday – dinner out

    Saturday – Pizza Hut

    Sunday – Whatever

P.S. Yes, I've had "menu plans" like this before.

I think your menu is perfectly fine. Be proud that you put together one and just accept it for what it is….the menu plan of a family with lots going on. Sometimes it's what's needed. Keep it up! 🙂
