Daily Checklist of Aches and Pains

Really? One day of a 20 minute workout can make every single muscle in your entire body sore?

Really?

And then I did it again this morning?

This 30 Day Shred thing better work.

Today I:

Made bed – Ow.

Emptied dishwasher – Ooph.

Swept kitchen – ah-ah-ah.

Cleaned up kitchen, including lifting an always-heavy-but-way-heavier-today set of bowls to the TOP shelf of the cabinets – AAAAAHHHH.

Checked bathrooms for clutter, which included bending over and picking up dirty clothes – uuuuuhhhhh.

Mopped the kitchen – ow, ooh, aaaaahhhh.
——-

The pain is pretty bad, but there’s something about a solid workout that makes you feel better, even when every movement hurts. Just being aware that you have muscles makes you feel a little less jiggly.

Sorry you are hurting, but I'll bet you'll be glad you did it when it is over. Maybe. Hopefully. 🙂

I don't need no stinkin' shred… I worked in my gardens today – ouch! Too much hoeing. Not sure what tomorrow is going to feel like.

Yeah, that's me alright….. before I even start to work I look at my list of things needing to be done and I groan and sit down. Then when I even start to work, I say to myself, Boy… do I ever need a break. Sadly, that "break" turns out to be hours….. and I don't really get much done in a day at all. I am thirteen, and I help my mother with some things around the house. I do admit that I have an issue with laziness. But I am getting better. Now I am slowly starting to step up to the responsibility, step by step, to being a young homemaker that my wonderful mother, who is the best homemaker in my eyes, is. Thank you for this blog, it is helping me and my mom a lot.

Hi Hannah, I'm glad you're here. Little by little is the only way I've found to make real changes.

I know this is an old post, and maybe you've figured this out already, but your not supposed to do muscle building exercises everyday. Cardio and abs – yes, strength training – no. The muscles need time to repair and get stronger. If you want something daily, you can do different muscles on different days.

And I'm assuming here that the shred is not cardio. If it is, well then nevermind.

I once did a spinning class and discovered I had not saved enough energy to get off the bike and walk back to the locker room. I was afraid I would have to take a nap right there. But I staggered down the hall anyway and got dressed and went back to work.
