This party dip recipe is fairly common, but I’ve had so many people ask for the recipe at Christmas parties this year that I thought I’d post it.
It is sometimes called White Queso. (That’s a red chip.)
Ingredients:
8 oz. Cream Cheese
1 can ro-tel (canned diced tomatoes and green chilis)
One pound breakfast sausage
Brown the breakfast sausage, and then add the cream cheese and ro-tel until it all melts together. Serve with tortilla chips.
Get ready to share the recipe, because people LOVE this stuff!
While we’re talking parties, have you thrown any lately?
I know that for the organizationally challenged . . . hosting parties can be daunting, and that’s extra frustrating since we . . . are . . . fun!
Seriously. We are. Waaaay more fun than normal people.
Perhaps it’s just me . . . but I tend to get rather caught up in the fun stuff (like the decorations and the games and the cake) and either lose track of or never even consider the not-so-fun stuff (like invitations and bathroom cleaning and planning an alternate location in case of bad weather).
I’m excited to share with you this new e-book by my friend Mary of Giving Up on Perfect.
As someone who considers myself a good party-giver, I was VERY impressed. Mary has huge amounts of experience planning parties of all types. From big corporate events to little girl birthday parties. She truly thinks of everything, and helps you consider it all too.
She gives advice and ideas for all sorts of parties, and her writing style (which I love) makes the entire read fun!
Mary covers everything. Food, decorations, venue, budget . . . it’s all there.
The e-book even includes checklists that will get you from the month before to the day after!
Sooo . . . if you cleaned up your house for Christmas, why not go ahead and throw a New Year’s Eve party? I’m all about getting in as many parties as possible while the house is clean!

OK, this is kind of funny. I went looking for a crock dip recipe for a party yesterday and found this one on a crock cooking site. Then I came over here last night and saw this. I have never heard of this recipe so it just struck me as funny.
