I shared before Christmas that I was part of the JCPenney Secret Santa campaign. It was such fun to choose a gift for another (complete stranger) blogger, and receive a gift from my Secret Santa.
I chose a purse for Shasta of Faithfully Frugal and Free, and had sooooo much fun shopping for her.
My Secret Santa was Angela of Fab Find Foodie, whom I’ve probably seen before because she’s from DFW and has done some of the same local blogging projects I have!
We had to give suggestions for our Secret Santas, and Angela gave me exactly what I wanted! I’m trying to get rid of our peeling skillets, and this set of stainless steel cookware is perfect for replacing a few of my basics. My favorite thing about the set is that all of the pieces have lids. For some reason, even my big, nice skillet doesn’t have a lid and I always end up creating a makeshift one out of aluminum foil for certain recipes.
The gift-giving and receiving was fun, but the QR tags made it extra special. When I received my gift, I scanned the code with a QR reader on (my new) iPhone, and in literally a few seconds it took me to a recording of Angela’s voice wishing me a Merry Christmas. The things that modern technology can do . . .
