I’m sorry. This e-book has retired – For detailed guides, check out my books: How to Manage Your Home Without Losing Your Mind andDecluttering at the Speed of Life.
Whew! My HUGE project is done!
I am so excited to release my new e-book:
Drowning in Clutter? (Don’t Grab a Floatie . . . Drain the Ocean!)
If you’re a regular reader, you know all about my decluttering escapades around here. I’ve learned A LOT, decluttering huge amounts of my own stuff over the past more-than-three years of this deslobification process.
My view of stuff has changed. I’ve changed.
Though I’ve shared most of these concepts as I’ve learned them, I’m excited about this e-book.
The e-book contains over 50 pages of all new content that will give you solid, actionable strategies to eliminate the clutter in your own home.
An e-book allows me to write from a teacher’s point of view.
NOTE: These e-books are now retired – For detailed guides, check out my books: How to Manage Your Home Without Losing Your Mind andDecluttering at the Speed of Life.
If decluttering is on your list of goals for 2013, this e-book is for you!
Go check out Drowning in Clutter? It’s on sale through January the end of January for only $4.00!
AND, if you haven’t already purchased 28 Days to Hope for Your Home, I’ve created a set. You can purchase BOTH e-books together as a set (in PDF format only) for only $6.00 this month!
OK. I’m going to bed now. Writing e-books is exhausting.

Oh Dana, thanks so much! Living in South Africa, the dollar/rand rate is usually too high for me to buy e books but this is perfect and I’ve just bought them. What a great New Year gift to myself. I have read your blog right from the start and it has me beginning to get organized, but having it all consolidated should be amazing.
Wishing you and your family a happy new year and thanks for your hard work and dedication and sheer funniness!

I fully intended to get busy sorting over 2 years worth of paper clutter and office supplies from my office first thing this morning. I got started about an hour later than I intended because I just had to read your e-book first. I think that hour probably saved me two. I threw out a whole lot more papers (that I would have otherwise sorted and filed) because I realized that 90% of it was stuff that I could replace with the click of a mouse if I ever needed it. Thank You!

I am so excited! I have been perusing your blog for several months now, never quite getting a handle on things around here, but being so inspired by you. It is wonderful seeing a cleaning/declutter blog with before photos that actually are in the realm of my kind of messy. Most before photos are what I wish my house looked like -_- Thanks for this package deal, I’ll be ordering tonight as part of my new years resolution is to gain some control of my slovenly ways.

I was going to leave this comment on your YouTube Channel, but this seems more “private” if I say it on your blog.
I just found your blog and bought the ebook. I couldn’t help myself and read up to day 16. Today is New Year’s Day, so you know…another resolution. And I’m wasting time on the computer. I think just admitting I’ve become a slob sort of helps. Thanks for sharing your struggle. It’s been my dark little secret. The hopelessness is crippling.
About 10 yrs ago, I made some progress with FlyLady. I just can’t seem to get going again with her. Maybe it’s the way it’s too easy to delete her emails now that they just come in one big email. You both stress the importance of starting out with very simple routines and building slowly.
Sigh! When I thought about maybe filming or photographing my progress, my first thought was OMG! My mom or who knows will find out! I’m not a horder or anything. But my house seems so hopeless that I can’t find the energy to face it… Ok, I’ll go do some dishes 😉 Thanks!

You are my soul-sister. Somehow we were separated at birth!! 🙂 I thought I was the only on who left the cooler sitting in the middle of the kitchen for weeks on end. At first, I never saw it. Eventually, I started using it as a chair and when it was finally put back into the attic (after about 8 months) I really missed it! I bought your e-books last night after reading your blog for several days. I ran the dishwasher last night EVEN THOUGH IT WASN’T FULL. woohooo!!!! …and unloaded it this morning. Why do I dread that soooo much? Probably because it is packed SO full when I do run it, that it takes for-everrrr to unload it. Wal-mart bags from three weeks ago with the can goods STILL in them?…yep. That’s me. How do I not see them? I get the cans out as I cook through the week. I know then are there, but don’t see them if I’m not looking for the green beans. I have high hopes for 2013. THIS is going to be the year of change. Thank you so much for being transparent. It is such an encouragement!! …I’m going to do the dishes.

Just got your books. It hit home for me that part about how us free thinkers find it so frustrating that keeping a home in order has universal, repetitive steps. I can read the directions to do that from someone who shows empathy!

As Dorothy Gale said to Professor Marvel, “Why, it’s just like you could read what was inside of me!” Your 28-days book was the best $3 I have spent in a long time, and I really appreciate how short and sweet you kept it, because you KNOW I have six kids and homeschool and have way more important things to be doing. I can’t tell you what it meant to me to have someone who might as well have been a fly on my wall and knows all my dirty, messy little secrets and could be so honest with me about what I needed to do. Thank you for not telling me to get dressed first and to shine my sink, because that is not my reality. I actually only read about 5 days in before I started doing the dishes (though I have finished the book here on day 5). Something you may already know about me, since you know me so well, is that I get my feelings hurt when the other members of my household leave their dishes/clothes/toys/books/art supplies lying around for me to pick up. It makes me feel they don’t love me. I mean really, how could they make all this extra work for their already over-worked wife/mom if they cared even the least little bit about me? But starting your book on New Year’s Day, I resolved to do it for myself! I would show me some love, even if no one else did! So your suggestion to just do it yourself if no one else was around at the moment made perfect sense and didn’t rub me the wrong way at all. And most people here are already starting to get the concept that the dishwasher is a place to put your dirty dishes, not a place to store the clean ones indefinitely. So when someone forgets and leaves dishes on the table or puts them in the sink, instead of getting offended, I just remember how much better off we are now than just 5 days ago! This has been a major attitude adjustment for me. Because I started this life-project over the holidays when I (1) had more free time (no teaching) and (2) had hubby and older kids home to help, I decided to simultaneously begin keeping up with washing the clothes (haven’t ventured into putting clean clothes away yet, but it’s only day 5, after all!) AND I deal with each day’s mail THAT DAY (whether it means throwing away, shredding, paying bills, etc.) so the dining room table is looking blessedly better without dishes from previous meals and days worth of mail piled up on it. We are already eating more meals together and even dining by candlelight. (Well, WalMart had taper candles marked down to 11-cents each after Christmas and I have some Christmas candlesticks and I am determined to celebrate the entire Christmas season!) I am a happy little mom over here. Thank you for this gift, and God bless you!

Thank you so much for putting this all together in an e-book! I love your blog, but having all this information together in an e-book is perfect for someone like me who is easily distracted by the Internet. It’s such a relief to find ways of decluttering that are beginning to work for my slob brain! And it’s so nice to know that having slob brain doesn’t necessarily mean I’m forever destined to live in clutter. Happy New Year!
