I have no excuse for breaking the Dining Room Table Rule.
It just happened. Everything that was on there had a story. A logical explanation. Still, though, I know better.
My eight year old painted a pumpkin this week. He thought it would look cool with the three small pumpkins displayed around it.
But you can’t really display anything on a table like this.
And after Monday, it will be too late.
There are oh . . . so . . . many details I could have chosen to tackle today. But this one rose to the top of the list because it’s time-sensitive.
I want to honor my son’s creativity and his desire to decorate our home . . . by making it possible for him to actually do so.
I don’t want to think about all the times I’ve procrastinated just long enough that these types of opportunities were missed.

Excellent detail! Good for you. We just picked up our pumpkins tonight. Speaking of time–would setting a time every day to have this clear–say everyday after lunch or something–help at all?

First off,let me say your son did a fantastic job on the pumpkin.
I think of ALL the details you have done so far, this is the best by far. Not only did you achieve a detail for the day,but you made someone very happy & that is priceless!
